How ANF Is Building a Better Future for Our Patients
At the Atlanta Neuroscience Foundation (ANF), our main goal and mission is to provide patients who suffer from neurological disorders, such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s with access to medical care and treatments that can improve the quality of their lives. In today’s post, we are going to discuss how the ANF is building a better future for our patients. Read on to learn more.
We Help Fund Research for Neurological Care
ANF works diligently to collect donations and gifts, assist with fundraisers, and work with the community as a whole to help fund research for neurological care. Through philanthropy, we believe it’s possible to help those who suffer from chronic diseases enjoy better care. The funds we collect go towards research, clinical trials, and other areas of research and development that enable our doctors and healthcare providers to improve treatment options and offer new and exciting treatments that can improve our patient’s quality of life.
Our number one goal at ANF is to improve the life of our patients. Funding continued research for neurological care is a large part of how we do that.
More Research Can Lead to New Treatment Options
For our caregivers and specialists to provide better care and more effective treatment options, continued research is a must. While costly, this research can lead to extended life expectancies, better quality of care, and a higher quality of life for those with neurological conditions.
If you or someone you love suffers from a neurological condition, you understand just how debilitating it can be, and how disheartening it is to not have other options available when you feel as though you’ve tried just about every treatment out there. The research and development that we’re funding will help our doctors discover new treatment options for patients who feel as though they are running out of places to turn.
We Help Patients Get Access to Specialists
Even with insurance, medical care is expensive, even more-so for those with a life-long condition. At ANF, we use the funds we collect to ensure that as many patients as possible who visit the Multiple Sclerosis Center of Atlanta can have access to the best specialists, including our gait and movement specialist.
A gait and movement specialist is a neurologist who has additional training in Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. Thousands of people seek out the Multiple Sclerosis Center of Atlanta specifically to see our movement specialist. At ANF, we strive to raise the funds necessary to help those suffering from neurological disorders see our gait and movement specialists when they do not have the out-of-pocket funds to pay for it themselves.
Every Dollar Invested Goes to the Care of Our Patients
ANF is a non-profit organization. Every dollar invested in our organization goes to the care of our patients. We believe that it’s incredibly important to be transparent about where your donations are going. That’s why we’ve put together a Donor Bill of Rights. In this document, we ensure that donors will have access to our most recent financial statements, your gifts will be used for only the purposes they were given, and that you will always receive prompt, truthful, and forthright answers when you have questions about your donation or the donation process.
At ANF, we appreciate every single person who donates their time or money to our cause. We are dedicated to helping improve the quality of life of neurological patients. We want you to have peace of mind when you donate to our organization, and know that every single dollar you invest will go directly to the care of our patients, whether that be helping a patient gain access to a neurologist or providing funds for research to increase treatment options and efficiency.
